Meet Our Crew
Mike Kestel – Owner
Mike has been in construction since he attended Iowa Central Community College in 2002. Once he completed their program, he worked in and taught construction for two years at the college. In May 2008, he left ICCC and started KB Contracting with Brandon Berkland. Mike is married and has three kids. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Brandon Berkland – Owner
Brandon’s story is much the same as Mike’s. He attended Iowa Central Community College and graduated with a degree in carpentry. In 2008, he started KB Contracting with Mike. Brandon is married with three daughters and enjoys spending his free time with family and golfing.
Brett Dunnick – Carpenter
Brett has been with KB Contracting since 2020. He is an Army veteran and an Iowa Central Community College graduate with a degree in carpentry. He is married, living in Marathon, IA and has five dogs.
Joey Pittman – Carpenter
Joey has been with KB Contracting since 2015 as a carpenter. Like the others on the team, he is a graduate of Iowa Central Community College with a degree in carpentry.
